Overcoming Failure

“Before success in any man’s life he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do.”
- Napoleon Hill

The Paths

There are always two ways to look at life. There is one path, which is always unclear and not the easy way to go. That path may seem blurry and daunting but you know that if you follow it, you may be able to attain your goals although success might follow after a lot of hardships. And, again there is another path, which seems comparatively easier and clearer but you do not know whether you would be able to achieve the desired results out of it. However, most men follow this way in order to avoid the hardships relating to the other path. Slowly, the paths get defined and some lead to success while some others to failure. But people differ here as well. Some choose to take defeat to heart, give up and quit the idea of moving on. But the real men, who have courage in their hearts and fire in their belly, continue the journey, their path in order to achieve the success, which they know is waiting for them provided they work hard to get to it.

Failure Is The Pillar Of Success

Failure is the pillar of success. Failure is sure to rear its ugly head and cause doubts and fear to many. Failure is just a term, which comes often in the way of real success, tests your patience and character and makes you stronger. It is nothing more than that. In anyone’s life, business and in the path of success, one is almost certain to meet failure along the way but they should not bow down to it. One should meet defeat or failure in the eye and fight with it. The pain, heartbreak of the failure they endure swallows majority of the people but you should have the courage to get out from it and fight the world. Defeat should not ever overtake you, it should motivate you further. The strongest one would be he who swims against the current.

Bill Gates, the richest person on earth, was heartbroken to find his paper company in an unstable & non-working condition, (Yes, he sold papers once upon a time) but he did not give up, kept his dreams alive, worked hard and you just have to look into the Forbes’s magazine to know where he is now! So, the point is to never give up hope and to never abandon your dreams. You should take failure as a challenge and motivate yourself to do better and better. You should answer your critics and yourself as well with a strong conscience. Success is inevitable to those who keep fighting the tough conditions in their lives and overcome their self-doubts, fears and just take success with their welcoming hands.

With commitment, perseverance and the desire to achieve, success is just an extra mile away.

Unlocking The Secret Of The Subconscious Mind

“Any ideas, plan, or purpose may be placed in the mind through repetition of thought.”
Napoleon Hill

Whether you have years of experience in the business world or you are just starting out, the chances are that you are not making the most of the biggest resource available to you – your mind.

If your business currently brings in a modest $30,000 a year and you want to treble that, your mind is the one thing that is capable of getting you there.  The secret to growing your business successfully is to form new habits that will lead to advances in the way you think and work.

Your conscious and creative mind will come up with the purpose you seek.  In the example above, your plan is for your business to bring in $90,000 a year.  In order to achieve this, you need to keep that thought at the forefront of your mind throughout each day.  Write it in your diary and stick a note to your desk so you will see it often.  Make sure it becomes an integral part of your day, whether you are in a business frame of mind or not.

The act of repetition helps to cement a thought firmly into our minds.  This thought becomes a habit which we accept into our lives without question.  Very soon we expect this particular idea or plan to come to fruition.  In short, we believe that we will succeed and will start to think and act as if we already have succeeded, even though the success hasn’t come to us yet.

Many successful business people had this belief long before they achieved their goals.  The act of repeating these positive thoughts about their goals reinforced their focus on a daily basis and drove them towards their success.

The act of repeating an idea or plan in our own mind brings into play the power of the subconscious mind.  To the subconscious, the reality of a $90,000 a year business and the thought of achieving a $90,000 a year business are one and the same.  It cannot distinguish between them.  It will assume you already have the success you seek.

You need to make sure your repetitive thoughts are in the present tense for this to work properly.  Tell yourself you already have a successful $90,000 a year business, rather than telling yourself you want to have one.

Think about your successful goal every possible minute of the day.  This will not only place it firmly in your mind, it will also set your subconscious to work finding ways to achieve that goal.

As with any new habit, it takes time to establish the pathways in your brain that will allow you to use this thought repetition technique more easily.  But the more you use it to develop new ideas and goals for your business, the more successes you will begin to experience.
