Using Friendship to Motivate Others

Although it may seem that it will be easy to motivate other people, but it can depend both on your personality and theirs as well. While some may not be the type to actually inspire others, you may actually be able to motivate a friend or family member to find something that truly motivates them. Before you try motivating others, you may want to make sure that you take time to think about what you are going to say.

Once you start thinking about how your words will come across, you should also be thinking about what it will take to motivate someone. When you are using words to motivate people you will need to consider how you approach the
subject, the worlds that you use, and the tone that you say those words in as well. Many people do not understand that communication is more than what you say, but it is also how you are saying it. It is important that you are able to communicate your message so others understand it.

One thing that you should do is stop saying "you" while you are talking. Using you makes others feel that you are attaching them and they automatically get defensive. If you use "you" you may find that others will take what you say the wrong way and may be offended.

It is also important that you remove negative comments from your motivational speaking. Putting someone down or pushing someone will not be a great way to motivate them. Be sure that you use positive words and reinforce what you say and try to inspire the person instead of putting them down.

If you are going to help to motivate someone else, you are going to need to learn some listening skills as well. When you are the one who is used to speaking, learning to listen can be quite difficult to do. Even though it may be hard to learn, you will have to be able to listen, or you will not be able to communicate with someone on a deeper level.

You will need to ask yourself why you want to motivate someone to do something before you decide to start talking to them. It is important to ask yourself these questions because you want to make sure that you have the right motive when you are trying to inspire someone. Motivating someone else should be done because it is something that they need and you want to do what is best for them, instead of doing it because of some lack in your own life.

Yes, it is hard to motivate people. While it is difficult, one thing you ca do is to make sure that you are available to that person whenever they need you so you can build a relationship. When you reach out to them and support them, it will help to motivate them as well. Just being a friend with someone can get them started down the path to becoming a better person.

There are a variety of different ways to encourage another person. Being there as a support system is one way to help, and having open communication can help as well. You can keep suggesting new thoughts to them until they find something in what you are saying that will motivate them. You will also find that this will help you develop a close relationship with this person as well, and once you have their friendship, it is much easier to motivate that person. If you can be a good friend, then you can help to motivate that person in many ways.
